Congratulations to the kids and all those involved in the under 12 and under 14 volleyball teams from the Seenigama Sri Wimala Buddhi and Thotagamuwa schools in Sri Lanka. They have reached the finals of the all island volleyball tournament.

Dear Emmanuel
I thought of sharing some significant & successful news, the credit of which must necessarily go to Laureus for their unwavering support and commitment towards the sports development projects managed by the Foundation of Goodness where the Seenigama Sri Wimala Buddhi school and the neighbouring Thotagamuwa school have entered the all island under 14 and under 12 schools final respectively.
As you are aware both schools have been assigned specialized coaching with the funding received by Laureus not forgetting regular competitions that are run concurrently with training camps and life skills etc. This being the case both schools to have reached the status of finalist from the entire island is an amazing achievement repeatedly for two consecutive years that we all can be proud of but more importantly how facilities with great exposure and opportunities enable disadvantaged children to excel is a classic example of the vision both our institutions espouse.
The boys finals of both schools will be staged at a famous indoor stadium in Colombo on the 28th & 29th August and wanted to share this most delightful news with you and in case if both schools win their respective finals I believe it would be a historic moment for both Laureus and the Foundation of Goodness no doubt which will be unforgettable.
All those who made our collaboration possible specially Mr Ian Botham at the very outset can rejoice in making it happen not forgetting of course yourself and many others at Laureus who helped over the years along with the major sponsors IWC etc.
We are absolutely elated with this development and no doubt you will embrace the news with the same passion.
